You’ll have to wait longer to see us. Joel just found out Friday that they want him to stay on days for at least another month, maybe longer. He requested four 10 hour shifts so he could have Friday off, but they didn’t approve it (we just found that bit out this afternoon). Looks like we’ll be here for Thanksgiving instead… Bah-hum-bug! Oh, well. Start the countdown to Christmas in Neenah, I guess.

“If you’ll still have us” – silly woman! Of course I want you to visit every chance you get!
Oh, and I have a bunch of stuff to give you when we see you in Neenah – egg cartons, the hats you gave the kids last year (you said you wanted to look at them for pattern ideas, right?) and a bunch of magazines you loaned me forever ago (although maybe I should hold them hostage until you finish Truck)

Don’t give up on us!

It was just impossible when Joel wasn’t working. After all, it costs money to drive up there, you know. Now, that he’s got steady hours and income again, we can use my writing income for Ruth Road Trips. I can forsee many winter trips to your place… if you’ll still have us.

I would have loved you to join us (it was just me and the kids; Debbie baked her stuff on Thursday at her house) but I’ve given up on you guys coming up – it’s been at least six months now . . .

Why didn’t you tell me that Healthy Girl and the Sugar Nazi were on vacation? I definitely would have driven up. And to think, I could have had a girls’ day with you and Debbie.
